Tomorrow we will have reached 27 weeks and in the third trimester!!! I have an app that counts down by weeks or by days, and tomorrow we will have 92 more days...but who knows it could be less, or more depending on when Lily wants to make her grand appearance;)
So I will add some other 3 d pics that I forgot to add from the second time we went to get better shots of her. Let's just say she loves her hands! She had them all up around her face a majority of the time, however we were able to get a few shots without a hand or foot blocking her sweet little face! Besides the glamour shots, Lily has been pretty busy inside her cocoon! Last night I had insomnia, AGAIN, and just when I thought I could fall asleep Lily decided to move furniture around...most of the time I can sleep though it. It usually wakes me up but I am usually able to fall back asleep. BUT last night stunk! Hopefully I get more rest tonight- because in one of my offices a nurse (who I am friendly with and didn't care she said this!) looked at me and said "geeze- you look so tired!"
What else to report....my back, yes my back problems. Man I feel and look like I am 90 years old!! I have still been getting those horrible back pinches- most of the time it is just horrible tension feeling. Last night I leaned over the bed and was swaying back and forth to try and stretch it out. Mike walked in and was like "Geeze are you okay"...it looked like I was going through labor! So the last few days I have not even been using my workbag when I go into the offices. I just carry in my computer, keys and any marketing materials to drop off. So we will see how long I can really do that and be productive- but I really don't care- just because I just don't want to keep putting strain on my back! Today I wore flats for the for time to work and it was fabulous for the first hour, and then even in flats, my feet started to swell!!! I just kept repeating "93 more days, 93 more days"....
Lil's room is really looking more and more complete! I will take pictures tomorrow or this weekend! We have an end table that my mom and I painted the same pink on the walls. I switched out the knob on the drawer for this cute one I got dirt cheap on clearance at pottery barn. We put up her butterfly mobile and it is super cute. It is a huge one and hangs from the ceiling! I figured she will be able to use this even as she growns to "big girl" status! Yesterday my mom and I hung shelves over her changing table and Mike put together her bassinet my mom got us- ( she said it was an early birthday present for me, but I know it is just a small part of the big picture of how much this child is going to be spoiled!!).... The chair and ottoman that my mother-in-law and sis-in-law got us comes sometime in April and the drapes I ordered are on back order until April 15th...so I have some time before it will truly be a complete room!
What else...well I have only told a few girl friends this story, and now I really just laugh about it...but one experience I have had during this pregnancy can come at any moment and has the possibility of being uber embarrassing! Luckly, it has only happened at home and in front of Mike. The first time "this thing" has happened was when Mike and I were watching tv. And like usual, Mike made some corny, but funny;), comment and I laughed out loud really hard. And then I wet myself....yes people I pee'd my pants! Not bad, but enough where I needed to change my underwear!!! That was a good laugh. But now if I sneeze I have to hold my legs together too! So at any point of my day if I laugh to hard or sneeze, I could pee! The other day I was in Target and felt a sneeze coming, I panicked and crossed my legs together. I must have looked ridiculous!!! Anyways I hope you enjoyed that story and it made you laugh! Can't wait to share this story with Lily when she gets older!

feeling loved!
I received some very adorable and cute gifts in the mail from two fabulous women! My friend Mimi who lives back in the Bay Area sent Lily an adorable outfit with her first hair band & first pair of shoes!!! I can't wait to dress her up!! And Jen, dear friend and college roomie, sent Lily her first monogrammed item...a super cute pink bathrobe with her name on the back!!!
Thank you ladies for sending these gifts! Can't wait to put lily in them and send y'all pics ;)

already a stubborn child!
So Mike and I haven't seen Lily since around 22 weeks, and we would not see her again until our 30 weeks sono....so being impatient and really wanting to see what she might look like, Mike and I made a 3d/4d ultrasound appt. Well all morning I could feel Lily move around and I was excited that we would get some great shots of her...I was wrong! We got 1 or 2 side profile shots and then she turned to face my back...we even took a break and I drank some apple juice to give her a sugar high, and she was NOT having it! I was so bummed! Well they said since they were not able to get a good shot of her we get to come back at not cost! So we go back Monday! Cross your fingers people that Lily goes along with this and we get to really see her!! By the wayI am almost 25 weeks, so she is still really small. When we go back around 31-34 weeks she will have much more fat on her and maybe some chubbier cheeks that I will pinch!! So here is a side profile snapshot! In the right hand side you can see part of her foot that is raising up....when we first started her hands were blocking her face and her leg was up and her foot was touching her forehead!! ....and she was breech, so it made it even more difficult to get a great shot!
Some snapshots!
Okay so here are some snapshots that I have lagged on uploading!!

Lily's room ;)
Okay so here we go...it has been a while I know since I have updated this thing so be prepared for a couple of posts!!! First up is Lily's room ;)....it used to be a guest room that we coined the "Sesame Street" room...why you ask? Well when we had the room painted I wanted I originally had some green bedding and wanted to have a beige room with a green accent wall..all smancy pants! Well when I came home from work and saw the colors I choose to have the painters do, I almost died! The beige turned out to be a bright cream (that is being nice)....more like yellow! So we had a yellow and green room for a very loooooong time. It was the room in the house that I hated to show people due to the fact that I felt the need to explain the outrageous color scheme! So I was so pumped to hurry up and paint this room to shed this major embarrassment! Now it is Cotton Candy Pink from sherman williams....SUPER GIRLY! Her crib and dresser with changing table is all put together. We are going to paint the nightstand (that will go next to the rocker & ottoman) and pink- not sure of the shade, and then my mom and I put the bookshelf together that we got from Ikea. The closet, well you can see that I have been a busy mommy getting some adorable outfits. My mom found a bunch of my baby clothes so I have those in there as well! The dresser that is in the closet was my actually baby dresser! When I was in high school my mom had it painted to a distressed look and it will work perfectly for extra storage!
Next up on my list is finding the right window treatments....I have been taking my time on these as I do not want buyers remorse! I just ordered her butterfly mobile last night from pottery barn kids and cannot wait for it to come in! I will probably order the chandelier soon too- it completes my shabby chic look! I am thinking of doing one of those vinyl decals with her name and place that on the wall behind her crib...next up is hanging shelves above the changing table and hanging pictures where the rocker will go....so it is really starting to come together! I find myself walking in and peeking at the room! Sometimes I go in and just stare at her things or g through the clothes for the 1 millionth time! I just can't wait!!
