already a stubborn child!

So Mike and I haven't seen Lily since around 22 weeks, and we would not see her again until our 30 weeks sono....so being impatient and really wanting to see what she might look like, Mike and I made a 3d/4d ultrasound appt. Well all morning I could feel Lily move around and I was excited that we would get some great shots of her...I was wrong! We got 1 or 2 side profile shots and then she turned to face my back...we even took a break and I drank some apple juice to give her a sugar high, and she was NOT having it! I was so bummed! Well they said since they were not able to get a good shot of her we get to come back at not cost! So we go back Monday! Cross your fingers people that Lily goes along with this and we get to really see her!! By the wayI am almost 25 weeks, so she is still really small. When we go back around 31-34 weeks she will have much more fat on her and maybe some chubbier cheeks that I will pinch!! So here is a side profile snapshot! In the right hand side you can see part of her foot that is raising up....when we first started her hands were blocking her face and her leg was up and her foot was touching her forehead!! ....and she was breech, so it made it even more difficult to get a great shot!

Some snapshots!

Okay so here are some snapshots that I have lagged on uploading!!

Lily's room ;)

Okay so here we go...it has been a while I know since I have updated this thing so be prepared for a couple of posts!!! First up is Lily's room ;)....it used to be a guest room that we coined the "Sesame Street" room...why you ask? Well when we had the room painted I wanted I originally had some green bedding and wanted to have a beige room with a green accent wall..all smancy pants! Well when I came home from work and saw the colors I choose to have the painters do, I almost died! The beige turned out to be a bright cream (that is being nice)....more like yellow! So we had a yellow and green room for a very loooooong time. It was the room in the house that I hated to show people due to the fact that I felt the need to explain the outrageous color scheme! So I was so pumped to hurry up and paint this room to shed this major embarrassment! Now it is Cotton Candy Pink from sherman williams....SUPER GIRLY! Her crib and dresser with changing table is all put together. We are going to paint the nightstand (that will go next to the rocker & ottoman) and pink- not sure of the shade, and then my mom and I put the bookshelf together that we got from Ikea. The closet, well you can see that I have been a busy mommy getting some adorable outfits. My mom found a bunch of my baby clothes so I have those in there as well! The dresser that is in the closet was my actually baby dresser! When I was in high school my mom had it painted to a distressed look and it will work perfectly for extra storage!

Next up on my list is finding the right window treatments....I have been taking my time on these as I do not want buyers remorse! I just ordered her butterfly mobile last night from pottery barn kids and cannot wait for it to come in! I will probably order the chandelier soon too- it completes my shabby chic look! I am thinking of doing one of those vinyl decals with her name and place that on the wall behind her crib...next up is hanging shelves above the changing table and hanging pictures where the rocker will go....so it is really starting to come together! I find myself walking in and peeking at the room! Sometimes I go in and just stare at her things or g through the clothes for the 1 millionth time! I just can't wait!!

So here is the before painting:

And here it is painted!!!
